Our dad is
kind of a catch.

He didn't ask us to do this. We're doing it anyway. Read the spec sheet below — then decide for yourself.

SCROLL TO REVIEW
The Short Version

Sharp dresser. Sharper wit. Makes the best pancakes.

Richard is a retired architect who spent his career designing projects around the country – and in his retirement he's designed a life that's somehow even busier. He sings in a chorus, bowls on a team, plays bocce, travels internationally, reads extensively, and still finds time to read a meme aloud to you whether you asked or not. Also, he can dance.

His house is immaculate. His opinions are well-formed. His sense of whimsy is fully intact, and it runs right alongside a genuinely strong intellect – which, in our experience, is a rarer combination than people think.

Specifications
Background
Architect. Founded and ran his own successful firm in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Style
Dresses sharp, always. House is artfully decorated and kept immaculately neat.
Age
76.
Location
Splits time between Petaluma and SF. Flexible.
Activity level
Hours of urban walking, bowling and bocce leagues. Hasn't slowed down so much as diversified.
Culture
Sings in a chorus. Loves museums, cities, and long walks through both.
Kitchen skills
Makes genuinely excellent pancakes. Washes all dishes, and dries 'em. Can't cook a feast but will take you out for one.
Manners
Old-school chivalry, the real kind – not a bit, just how he was raised.
Religion
Jewish, but you don't have to be.
Pets
None. Allergic to cats — dog people, proceed with optimism.
Looking for
Seeking someone who'd rather put the phone down than pick it up — who gets out, shows up, and has something to say. Conversation is kind of his thing (he actually listens, which is impressive for a dude). He's had successful long-term relationships and knows what real partnership looks like — and wants it again. 5'9", for what it's worth.
